If you build this rig for about $50 usd you will not be disappointed.  Using the SA602 with additional improvements with a notch filter, makes this receiver a great companion to the Little Joe 40 mtr rig.  It's a little challenging to mute the rig when transmitting.  However, it works great and the notch filtering really helps selectivity.  My daughter at the age of 4 helped me solder some contacts.  It later appeared with her at a science fair on world wide communications.  So it is proudly renamed the 'Best Buddy Box'.
