49 meter Crystal  Radio... Yes, my simplest radio yet... Connect the green wire (6 turns from the ground) to a long wire tuner, Ground the middle connection of the polycon.  Attach one side a crystal ear piece with the .01 and 100K resistor around it to the cathode side of the diode (1n34A)  and the other side to ground... and behold 49 meters.  Of course the ferrite core is "2" type RED material and has 40 turns of 28 gauge wire on it.  I'm receiving 5.800-6.040 MHZ  with this gem.  Using my mfj 941E tuner, I have recieved 5070 WWCR from my qth with this.. Pretty amazing...Try crystal radio... If you still have a good  ear to hear, you will be amazed.
